Wiggle. Stretch. Try.

Let’s move!

These are ways I like to move when movement is part of taking care of myself. This isn’t an exercise prescription. It’s my try-it, practice-it, notice-it list.

Your body gets a vote. A break always counts.

Things I like to practice

A move I like

Touching my toes

A simple stretch Felicity told us she likes to practice.

What you need
A little open space and a grown-up nearby.
A few gentle steps
  1. Stand somewhere steady with room around you.
  2. Move slowly and only as far as feels comfortable.
  3. Stand back up gently. No bouncing or forcing it.
Felicity fun★★★

Note to add: Bodies bend differently. The goal is to notice, not to compete.

Bounce + try again

Jump-rope practice

Felicity likes jumping rope and practicing physical skills.

What you need
A jump rope, clear space, and a grown-up who knows where you are.
A few gentle steps
  1. Check that the space is clear.
  2. Start with one jump at a time.
  3. Take a break whenever your body says break.
Felicity fun★★★

Note to add: What Felicity notices during jump rope belongs here next.

A skill—not a dare

Backbend practice

This is something Felicity likes, but it needs the right skills and supervision.

What you need
A qualified coach or experienced grown-up and a safe practice space.
A few gentle steps
  1. Learn with someone qualified to teach the movement.
  2. Use the setup and progressions they give you.
  3. Never push through pain or try it because a website said to.
Felicity fun★★★

Note to add: This card intentionally does not teach a backbend.

Officially unofficial

A phrase invented by Felicity

Scooby Gone
Dub Calm

What does it mean? Excellent question. This spot is waiting for Felicity’s official explanation.

Felicity says

“Scooby Gone Dub Calm.”
